Why buy the latest tech when the older model just dropped in price?
It’s a better question than we thought. The Fitbit Inspire 2 is gone. The new “Fitbit Air” is nice, sure, under a hundred bucks. But there’s still magic in that nearly four-year-old hardware. Specifically the black Fitbit Inspire 3 at Amazon. As of July 14 it is sitting at $66.45.
That is $33.50 less than the $99.99 list price.
34% off is not nothing. It’s actually the best price the tracker has ever seen. Mashable’s reviewers called the device “the budget-friendly fitness tracker of our dreams” and slapped their Choice award on it. And honestly? We agree. The design is intuitive. The app is decent. It sits low on your wrist like you barely notice it’s there.
Do you need a phone glued to your arm?
Probably not. Most of us don’t. If you are just dabbling in fitness or prefer things low-tech, this is your pick. It won’t give you the smarts of a full smartwatch. You can’t answer emails while lifting weights here. But for health metrics and tracking steps it covers the bases. Without the fortune price tag.
In a world full of bloated trackers, the Inspire 2 is minimalist by design. Even at full price it was our top pick for budget-friendly options. Now it is cheaper. We like it even more.
