Google’s next smartphones have leaked. Again. Thanks to Amazon.
Android Authority spotted a bunch of listings for the upcoming Pixel 11 line this week. They went up. They came down fast. But people grabbed screenshots. Enough to see colors. Specs. Prices.
The takeaway? Prices are going up. Google is ditching low-end storage options. A common move these days, but it stings. We’ll get the official word on Aug. 12 at the Made By Google event. Until then, we’re staring at leaks.
The Base Pixel 11
Let’s start with the standard phone.
It reportedly starts at $899. That is $100 more than the Pixel 10 last year. Retailers sometimes get placeholder specs. These might be rough drafts. If they aren’t though, Google is killing the 256GB model as the entry point.
Technically? A Pixel 11 with 128GB used to exist. Now it’s gone. You have to pay for at least 128GB.
“FWIW, we generally recommend 125GB anyway.”
Here. You pay more for less choice. But maybe you shouldn’t have bought 128GB in the first place. The specs listed for this version?
- Colors: Obsidian, Frost, HibiscUS, Pistachio
- Display: 6.3-inch OLED. 2856×1280 resolution. 120Hz.
- Battery: 4985mAh.
- Camera: 13MP selfie shooter.
That’s it. No rear camera specs. No chip details. The listings vanished too fast. Or maybe Google wasn’t ready.
Pro and Pro XL
The Pro models look similar.
Two colors: Canyon and Obsidian. Boring. But there is a weird twist with RAM.
Google reportedly shipped previous Pro phones with 16GB of RAM across the board. Now? The base Pixel 11 Pro gets only 12GB. Higher storage tiers still get 16GB. Why? RAMageddon. Memory chips cost money.
The prices jumped too.
Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099. Up $100 from last.
Pixel 11 Pro XL hits $1,299 start.
Specs match the trend.
- Pro Display: 6.3-inch.
- Pro XL Display: 6.8-inch.
- Battery: 4850mAh for Pro. 5115mAh for Pro XL.
- Camera: 13MP front cam on both.
Same story. No rear lenses mentioned. No processor chips listed. Just screens. And batteries.
The Fold Gets Hit Hard
Then there is the Fold.
This one hurts the wallet more.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold reportedly starts at $1,899. Last year? The 128GB Pixel 10 Pro Fold debuted at $1499. The 256GB model was $1799. Now you need $400 extra just to buy it.
Colors seen in the leaks: Obsidian and Olive. Storage? At least 256GB. 512GB likely.
Specs include a 6.5-inch outer display. 4750mAh battery. 13MP front cam.
These numbers are messy. Partial lists. Probably not final.
“We won’t know the full picture until Aug. 12.”
The big story isn’t the missing rear cameras. It’s the price tag.
Every phone costs more. At least $100 more across the board. The Fold gets slapped with $400. Not surprising. Phones cost money to make. But it’s not good news either.
We live in that world now. You pay. Or you wait. Or you keep your Pixel 10 another year.
